Come for the tutoring, stay for the character
Jonny is an enthusiastic and energetic facilitator of academic and personal growth. Over the past two years, Jonny served as a Math/Science Grade-Level Lead at his Teach For America placement school on Oahu, Hawaii. Jonny has learned many lessons from his students, but the most important lesson he learned is that students perform best when they are involved. That is why an online tutoring session with Jonny involves competitive challenges, teacher rotation, and creative visual demonstrations. With a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University, Jonny infuses brain targeted teaching with variety, structure and student-centered learning - all of which he believes are vital for student flourishment. It is Jonny’s mission to show students the potential they harbor within themselves to transform themselves and the world around them.
Electra holds a B.A. in history from Princeton University, where she fostered her passion for research and writing. During the summers, Electra worked in journalism at CNN and Bloomberg. After graduating from Princeton in 2020, Electra taught elementary school on the Pine Ridge Reservation through Teach For America, where she designed a computer science curriculum from scratch and launched a new reading intervention program. While teaching, Electra also completed her Master’s in Education. Electra now works at an education non-profit in New York City in charge of curriculum across a large network of public schools.

Northwestern’s Ryan Lumsden won the 2019 Byron Nelson Award on Thursday.
Lumsden, one of five finalists named in March, including Stanford’s Brandon Wu and Cal’s Collin Morikawa, owns the third-best career stroke average in Northwestern history. He’s a two-time First Team All-Big Ten performer, who has two career victories and eight career top-five finishes.
The award annually goes to a graduating male senior golfer, who is given equal consideration for exceptional performance, academics, character, integrity and citizenship.
Additionally, he qualified for the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills, with Addison Davenport, founder of Addison Academy, on the bag as caddy.

"Addison helped my son go from a 570 to a 720 on the math SAT. This opened a lot of doors for him in his college application process (biggest one being a $30,000/year academic scholarship to his top choice school). Addison made the material fun and relevant to my son with all sorts of sports anologies. Ultimately his work positively influenced my son away from numbers in addition to improving his math grades. I'd highly recommend Addison for anyone who is interested in providing the top level of math tutoring for their child."
